Below you'll find the Hannam Design process, a guided approach designed to bring clarity to every stage of your project. While following the full process provides the greatest support, we understand every project is unique and are happy to discuss a customized path based on your goals. DISCOVERY CONSULTATION
Understand the why. Discover what is possible. Before design begins, there are often important questions to answer. Is this the right project for your home? What needs to change? What is realistic for your investment and timeline? And is Hannam Design the right fit to help you move forward? The Discovery Consultation is an opportunity to explore those questions together. We'll discuss your goals, uncover your “why,” learn how you live in the space, and identify opportunities and challenges that may shape the project ahead. You'll leave with greater clarity about your project, a better understanding of what may be possible, and confidence in your next steps—whether that means moving forward with design, considering other options, or taking more time to explore your needs. This one-hour consultation includes a review of your project goals, tailored homework and discovery exercises, and a site visit ($125). Following the consultation, if design services are determined to be a good fit for your project, a customized proposal will outline the recommended scope and investment. Whether your project is large or small, a discovery consult is a great place to begin, with no need to have everything figured out before we meet.
DESIGN & PLANNING
Create the solution. Once the project goals are established, the design and planning process begins. This phase transforms ideas into a clear direction through thoughtful design, problem-solving, and decision-making. Together, we'll explore possibilities, evaluate options, and develop solutions that support how you live and use your space. Each project receives a customized proposal outlining the scope of work, anticipated deliverables, and fees for the next phase of services. Work is completed in focused sessions, allowing the process to adapt as the project evolves and ensuring each step provides the support needed to move forward with confidence. Depending on the complexity of the project, multiple design and planning sessions may be completed before moving into budgeting and implementation.
INVESTMENT DEVELOPMENT
Confirm the path forward. Once the design direction is established, it's time to determine what it will take to bring the project to life. During this phase, Hannam Design coordinates a Trade Day, which is a guided walkthrough with trusted trade professionals to review the project, identify requirements, and gather information needed to develop accurate budgets and project expectations. Hannam Design manages the coordination process, bringing together the appropriate trades and ensuring everyone is working from the same vision and project goals. The information gathered is used to develop realistic investment expectations, identify potential challenges, and create a clear path forward before construction begins. By investing time in planning upfront, clients gain greater confidence in their decisions and a stronger understanding of the scope, budget, and logistics required for a successful project.
IMPLEMENT
Bring The Vision To Life! Once your project plan is approved, Hannam Design guides the transition from design into execution. Final selections are confirmed, materials are specified, and the details needed to move forward are organized before work begins. Through established supplier relationships and trusted trade partnerships, Hannam Design provides and coordinates the many materials needed to complete your project, from cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, and lighting to flooring, tile, paint, and other finish selections. We also manage the details, communication, and coordination needed to help ensure the finished space reflects the original vision. From the first installation to the final details, Hannam Design remains involved to provide guidance, problem-solving, and support throughout the process. The result is a more organized and confident remodeling experience, knowing your project is thoughtfully managed from design through completion.
FEES
Discovery Consultation 125.00 fixed fee Design & Planning: 105.00/hour Design Management: (Hourly, TBD by project) Material Costs: (TBD by project) The following are average design costs that may be assigned to your project. Initial Conceptual Design: 1500-3500 Kitchen Cabinetry Design: 1500-3500 Bathroom Cabinetry Design: 800-1500 Space Planning: 1500-3000 Materials Specifications: 1000-2000 Paint Consultation: 125 Furniture layout and specification: 1500-2500 Budgeting and Trade Day: 1000-2500 Design Management: 1500-3000 Hannam Design follows a 50/50 payment schedule. 50% down at approval, 50% due at delivery.
